The 40ch Mux and Demux is a passive optical module based on AAWG Gaussian technology, which multiplexes several streams of signals over a single fiber using different wavelengths to expand the capacity of existing fibers without investing large amounts of money.

It can be highly integrated with M6200 series management platforms and M6200 EDFA/DCM/OLP products to realize the unified management.

No, The M6200 series is a new series, which is different from the FMT platform. M6200 series is managed via new NMS network management software with M6200 series managed chassis. FMT platform is managed via Monitor Online Software with FMT managed chassis. By L***e on 11/26/2020

We already had 2 existing Dark Fibers which were being used by another part of the business via an FS.com passive mux, we bought Mux this time for our 2 new installed Dark Fiber connections. I would not hesitate to choose FS every time we have a need, nice bit of kit and does the job ok.



To transport 28 X 10Gbps Ethernet Links based on 1310nm over a single fiber pair, MUX and OEO were required in our link. The separate Mux and Demux design can be integrated with OEO into M6200 series managed chassis, it helps to save space.


